The Sigma Chi Foundation Military Service Scholarship will be awarded to undergraduate and graduate Sigma Chi Brothers who are currently serving or have served on active duty in their country's military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or National Guard. Applicants may be an undergraduate member or pledge in good standing of Sigma Chi Fraternity or a graduate student member in good standing of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Undergraduate applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and graduate student applicants must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Undergraduate applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. Letters from chapter advisors, college professors and staff, high school teachers, employers, coaches, members of the clergy and co-workers are all good choices. Letters of recommendation from the applicant's undergraduate chapter brothers or peers, family members and friends are not acceptable. Graduate student applicants must submit two letters of recommendation: one letter of recommendation must be from a dean, professor or professional colleague and the other letter should be from a Sigma Chi alumnus the applicant has known for at least a year.
