SOT Translational Impact Award, with an application deadline in October, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The Translational Impact Award is presented to a scientist whose recent (last 10 years) outstanding clinical, environmental health, or translational research has improved human and/or public health in an area of toxicological concern. Scientists who are leaders in multidisciplinary team efforts that have contributed to alleviating toxicity-related health problems are particularly attractive candidates.Applicants may be a member or nonmember of the Society. Applicants may be toxicologists as well as other scientists with any background such as clinicians, basic scientists, epidemiologists, engineers, etc. Two letters of nomination from full members of the Society are required. Both letters should name the specific contribution for which the scientist is nominated and discuss the impact the work has had on human or public health. Preference will be given to nominees who have not received another SOT Award within the last two years. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society of Toxicology for more information.
