SOT Undergraduate Diversity Program Advisor Travel Award, with an application deadline in October, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The Undergraduate Diversity Program Advisor Travel Award provides the opportunity for faculty advisors to attend the Undergraduate Diversity Program from March 15-17, 2025, at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting. During this program, the advisors and students learn more about toxicology, career opportunities related to this science, and engage with academic program directors. Overall, the goal of the program is to recruit promising undergraduate science majors interested in research careers and from diverse backgrounds to graduate school in the biomedical sciences, especially toxicology. Applicants may not have received the award in the previous two years and cannot be an active or pending SOT member. Applicants must request that a supervisor, faculty mentor, or dean provide a letter of reference in support of their award application. This letter should describe the applicant's history of mentoring students in the classroom and in research, and the applicant's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in science and the university. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society of Toxicology for more information.
