South Florida Fair and Palm Beach County Expositions Inc. Academic Excellence Scholarship, with an application deadline in October, offers 15 awards of $6000 each. Location restrictions exist.

Description

This scholarship is for a student exhibiting academic excellence. Scholarships will be paid annually over a 4 year period. To be eligible, the student must have completed their junior year in high school, be a permanent resident of Florida and reside in one of the following counties: Broward, Hendry, Martin, Okeechobee or Palm Beach. Additional credit will be given if the applicant is, or has been, a participant in the South Florida Fair's activities. Activities may consist of judging events, exhibits, livestock and agriculture activities, volunteering or any other fair related activity. The selection committee requires a personal interview with the applicant. If considered, applicants will be notified by November 22. Two letters of recommendation are required.
