St. Andrew's Society Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The St. Andrew's Society Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from a high school in Oregon or Clark County, Washington, or a prior recipient of the scholarship. Applicants must meet one of the following: (1) Born in Scotland; (2) Child or grandchild of someone born in Scotland; (3) Demonstrated a substantial commitment to Scottish dancing, piping, drumming, the Celtic harp, or the highland fiddle (Musicians must be level 3; Dancers must be premier level). Applicants must attend a college or university in the US, including community colleges. Students must reapply and compete to renew their award. Renewal is possible for up to four years. If applicants are not able to submit their applications through email, they may submit it via mail to the Oregon Community Foundation. Applicants must submit a recommendation form from a school staff person and another recommendation form from other adult acquainted with them (employer, youth leader, etc.).
