Description

The College of Wooster Music Scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students during their senior year of high school (transfers are not eligible) based on music performance skills demonstrated by the audition or compositional skills evidenced by written scores. Music lesson fees for the students holding a music scholarship are reduced from $780 to $30 per semester for half-hour weekly lessons on their audition instrument. This is available only for voice, composition, and instruments for which the College offers private instruction. Please note that students should only apply for one scholarship area. Recipients are not required to major or minor in music at Wooster. Applicants who wish to audition in November must complete the scholarship application by November 1, 2025. For February audition dates, please complete all necessary application materials by December 15, 2025. You will receive notification of the scholarship by April 1, 2026. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information about the eligibility, criteria, and application process.
