TMEA One-Semester Student Teaching Scholarships, with an application deadline in November, offers numerous awards of $2500 each.

Description

The TMEA One-Semester Student Teaching Scholarships will be awarded for students scheduled to student teach during spring 2025 or fall 2025 semesters. Applicants must be a currently enrolled music major in a music degree program leading to Texas teacher certification with music as the primary teaching field. Applicants must also be a College Student Member of TMEA. Applicants must be scheduled to student teach within the two semesters following the application deadline and must not currently have a TMEA Scholarship. Applicants must submit 5 names and emails of individuals who can address their potential for success in an undergraduate music education program, potential for success as a music educator, music skills and abilities, work ethic, and other personal qualities.
