TMEA One-Year Graduate Study Scholarships, with an application deadline in November, offers numerous awards of $2500 each.

Description

The TMEA One-Year Graduate Study Scholarships will be awarded for $1,250 for 3 hours and $2,500 for 6 or more hours for studies during the summer 2026 and/or fall 2026 semesters. Students must be a current active member of TMEA. They must have a minimum of three years, full-time, classroom teaching experience in Texas with music as the primary teaching field at the time of application. They must be pursuing a music-related graduate degree at a fully-accredited university in the state of Texas. Applicants must submit five names of individuals, and their email addresses, of people who can address their success as a music educator, music skills and abilities, work ethic, and other personal qualities. Applicants are expected to write their essays in their own authentic voice, reflecting their personal thoughts and insights. Essays will be inspected to detect the percentage of AI-generated content, and the result will be considered in the application evaluation.
