Description

The University of Connecticut Stamps Scholarship honors the exceptional accomplishments of secondary school seniors. Applicants should demonstrate exceptional academic ability, have performed notable service to school and community, and possess the qualities of a good citizen and leader. The Stamps Scholarship is a full cost-of-attendance scholarship renewable for four years (eight academic semesters) of undergraduate education. Applicants selected for the Stamps Scholarship will also receive a one-time enrichment award of $12,000 to be used to support research and experiential learning opportunities. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale and rank (if available) in the top 10 percent of their graduating class. Submission of standardized test scores is optional and is not required for Stamps Scholarship eligibility. Applicants choosing to provide a standardized test score should achieve a minimum combined SAT Score of 1420 or an ACT composite score of 32. Although optional for the admission process, two letters of recommendation from a teacher, a counselor, or an administrator are required for Stamps Scholarship consideration.
