Eligibility

Walling Family Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $500 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Walling Family Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from a public or private high school in Gregg or Rusk County in East Texas. School districts currently eligible include Sabine ISD, Gladewater ISD, White Oak ISD, Spring Hill ISD, Pine Tree ISD, Longview ISD, Kilgore ISD, Leverette Chapel ISD Overton ISD West Rusk ISD, Laneville ISD Mount Enterprise ISD, Henderson ISD, Carlile ISD, Cushing ISD, Beckville ISD, and Tatum ISD. Students may attend any college or university in the United States School. Applicants must submit two references, one reference must have had in classroom experience with the applicant. Applicants must also submit a list of extracurricular and community service activities including hours, week, and year involved.
