Description

The Xero Shoes' Minimal Footwear Research Grant is funded by Xero Shoes, which specializes in lightweight minimalist footwear for walking, running and athletics. This grant will be designated for human research on the impacts of minimalist footwear on biomechanics, performance, injury, and physical activity across the lifespan. Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing before applying for funding. This includes international applicants. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement. Doctoral students enrolled in full-time programs or early career researchers within two years of receiving a postgraduate degree or completion of clinical training are eligible to apply. Doctoral student applicants must have graduate student status at the start of the grant term. Applicants must submit a Student Advisor Letter of Support.
