Description

The YPE SF Bay Area Scholarship Program intends to provide financial resources to support coursework/study in climate or clean energy, as well as mentorship and induction into the professional cleantech ecosystem. Students from all backgrounds, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be students pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree with an interest in entering the energy/climate space. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an educational institution located in Northern California (within 200 miles of San Francisco, CA), but can be taking coursework remotely. All majors and fields of study are welcome to apply. Recipients will gain opportunities to broaden and build their professional networks within the YPE SF Bay Area membership group. Preference will be given to applicants with GPAs of at least 3.0. If any extenuating circumstances have affected the applicant's academic performance or led to a gap in their academic history, it is suggested that they describe those circumstances in the application. Applications will be evaluated based on the applicant's demonstrated interest in the energy/climate space; quality and persuasion of their essay statements; personal and professional development through extracurricular activities and employment; leadership experience; and academic record. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact Young Professionals in Energy for more information.
