Description
The YU-Einstein Medical Scholars Program is available to high school seniors who have a demonstrable interest in medicine and are certain that medicine is the lifetime career they want to pursue. The interest may be demonstrated in a variety of ways, including significant medical-related volunteer hours, personal experiences that focus on medicine, experience with healthcare providers and institutions, and/or biomedical research. Students must apply and be accepted to either the S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program (Stern College for Women) or the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program (Yeshiva College). Students applying for a program in the Sy Syms School of Business are not eligible for this scholars program. Applicants must have a high school cumulative GPA of 94 or better. They must earn a minimum SAT score of 1480 (combined Critical Reading and Math) or a minimum ACT score of 33. Students must maintain a science GPA of 3.75 and an overall GPA of 3.75, take 32 credits of core, pre-med courses (BCPM) at Yeshiva University, and participate in scientific and/or clinical research during the summers between academic years, at AECOM, Yeshiva University, or elsewhere, as approved by the Director of the Medical Scholars Program. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information about eligibility, criteria, and application.
