The AACAP Mentorship Grants for Medical Students provides the opportunity for medical students to attend the 2025 AACAP Annual Meeting, October 20-25, 2025 in Chicago, IL , and receive an introduction into the field of child and adolescent psychiatry through AACAP's Annual Meeting mentorship events. Applicants must be enrolled in a medical school in the United States beginning July 2025 and at the time of the AACAP Annual Meeting in October 2025. Participants must be in good standing at their medical school. Participants must attend all AACAP Annual Meeting events specified by AACAP. Medical students must be AACAP members or pending at the time of their application to be considered. Applicants must submit a letter of support from a faculty member or mentor. The letter should indicate how long the faculty member or mentor has known the applicant and in what capacity. In describing the candidate, it would be helpful for the letter to address the applicant's training, qualifications, accomplishments, interest in the child and adolescent psychiatry specialty, motivation for this award, and the potential benefits of the candidate attending the Annual Meeting, as appropriate. In addition, a letter of good standing from the applicant's medical school must be sent directly to AACAP. The Pacific Health Research Masters Scholarship provides up to $20,000 towards one year of personal support, plus tuition fees and a $1,000 tikanga allowance, for students completing the research component of a master's degree in any discipline whose proposed research programme will contribute to improving health and economic outcomes for Pacific peoples. Working expenses are not included in this award. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand and be of indigenous Pacific descent. Most successful applicants are enrolled full-time for a master's degree; however, we do consider applications from students who are enrolled part-time. Students who have yet to enroll for their proposed course of study, but they intend to do so, can also apply. During the tenure of the scholarship, the student's only activity must be the conduct of research and the preparation of a thesis or dissertation. If they are undertaking courses involving the completion of papers only, they won't be eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must submit evidence of collaboration/support. They will need to provide letters of support from supervisor(s) stating their supervisory and resource arrangements during the tenure of the proposed award; a JP-certified copy of the applicant's academic transcript or professional qualifications; letters of support from any individuals or organisations who are contributing their time but are not receiving payment; any relevant letters of collaboration to support the applicant's application; and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) or letters of support for any individuals not employed by the applicant's host organisation and will receive a salary or budget through this career development award (if within the award's specific budget allowances). The Pacific Health Research PhD Scholarship provides three years of personal support of up to $30,000 per annum, plus tuition fees, up to $10,000 in total research working expenses, and a $3,000 tufungatika allowance, for outstanding graduate students in any discipline whose proposed research programme will contribute to improving health and economic outcomes for Pacific peoples. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand and be of indigenous Pacific descent. Most applicants will be enrolled full-time for a research-based degree at the doctoral level, usually a Doctor of Philosophy at a New Zealand University. However, we will consider other applications from students enrolled in other doctoral research degrees or who are enrolled part-time. If a student has not yet enrolled for their proposed course of study, but are intending to do so, they can still apply. Please note, programmes of study where the primary focus is a clinical practice qualification rather than advancing the individual's research skills do not meet the PhD grant requirements. The Lisa Nagle Medical Assisting Scholarship is open to students enrolled in the Medical Assisting program full-time and who have a grade point average of 2.75 or better. Recipients must have completed one year in the Medical Assisting program. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and/or uniforms. The American College of Surgeons offers two-year resident research scholarships for residents in general surgery or a surgical specialty training program. The applicant must be a Resident Member of the ACS, who has completed at least 2 postdoctoral years in an accredited surgical training program (any specialty) in the United States or Canada at the time the scholarship starts (July of the award year). Scholarships do not support research after completion of the chief residency year. The College encourages diversity of applicants and institutions; only in exceptional circumstances will more than one scholarship be granted in a single year to applicants from the same institution. The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society is pleased to administer the Lycoming County Medical Society Scholarship for medical students who are residents of Lycoming County. This scholarship is made possible by contributions from Lycoming County physicians. The county's medical society established the scholarship within The Foundation. Applicants must be a resident of Lycoming County for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student, not including time spent attending an undergraduate or graduate school in Pennsylvania. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a fully accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school within the United States. Applicants cannot be a recipient of the Lycoming County Medical Society Scholarship in the immediate prior year of this application. Applicants must submit two reference letters, from persons other than family members, documenting the applicant's integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician.
