Description

The 180 Medical Scholarship Program is open to college students living with specific medical conditions, including spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, bladder exstrophy, neurogenic bladder, or an ostomy. Any other medical conditions not listed here (e.g. scoliosis, etc.) are not eligible to apply. In order to be eligible, applicants must be a legal resident of the United States. Applicants must be accepted to a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program in the fall of the year of application. Medical school students are not eligible to apply. In the application, applicants must list their extracurricular activities (sports, community, employment, etc.) from the last two years; and also list any significant awards or honors they have received during the last two years for academic or extracurricular achievements. Applicants may also submit an essay or video essay, telling their story and how their medical condition has affected their life and explaining their goals for the future.
