Description

The AIChE Environmental Division Graduate Student Paper Award recognizes an outstanding original research paper that contributes to environmental protection through the application of chemical engineering. The graduate student must be a member of AIChE at the time of submission. The work presented must be carried out while the graduate student is enrolled at a university with an accredited chemical engineering program. The graduate student must be the primary author (faculty advisors may be co-authors). The paper must describe original research (experimental, numerical, or theoretical) or design; papers consisting of literature reviews are not permitted. The paper must be suitable for publication in a refereed journal. A single nomination letter detailing the student's strengths and accomplishments must be submitted together with the single graduate student's paper. Nominations must include a brief professional history of the nominee and specify how the nominee meets the criteria of the award. Three to five supporting letters, citing specific contributions and the reasons for their value, are also required. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for more information.
