Alexander Cervone Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers one award in the amount of $1000. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

Established in memory of gifted guitarist and musician Alexander Cervone, the Alexander Cervone Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Spackenkill High School who have demonstrated a passion or aptitude for music or history. The scholarship will be awarded to individuals who will be students at any accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must have demonstrated passion for music and/or be student/athletes who have demonstrated an aptitude for history while in high school. Applicants must submit two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities. One letter must be related to music or history. These letters must have been written within the last six months.
