Description

Alma White was a long-time teacher and principal in Hawai'i. Upon her passing, she left a great part of her assets to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Delta Chapter, of which she was a member. The Society is an educational society dedicated to the advancement of women educators. The Chapter members established this scholarship which will enable future generations of Hawai'i students to pursue teaching as their life's calling. The Hawai'i Community Foundation will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. The donor requires the applicants to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in the required major. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
