Amy A. Pitter Presidential Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards of $5000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Amy A. Pitter Presidential Scholarship was established to recognize the legacy of President and CEO Amy Pitter. This scholarship will be awarded to encourage individuals who have demonstrated academic excellence and financial need to pursue a career in the accounting profession in Massachusetts. Applicants must be a graduate student, or undergraduate accounting student who has completed at least the first semester of their sophomore year. They must be willing to complete four hours of accounting-related community service and have the intention to seek a career as a CPA in Massachusetts. Applicants for the MassCPAs Scholarship Program must attend a college or university in Massachusetts or attend a college or university out-of-state with a permanent address in Massachusetts and be enrolled in at least 9 credits during the Summer 2026 semester or Fall 2026 semester. A recommendation from an accounting professor, academic advisor, job supervisor, or mentor is required. Applicants must also submit a written essay or a video in which they describe what has shaped their decision to pursue a career in accounting.
