Description

The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission has established the Barbara F. Prowant Nursing Research Grant to be given annually through ANNA. The NNCC has established this nursing research grant to honor and recognize Barbara F. Prowant's tremendous contributions to nephrology nursing and certification within the specialty. Her work improved the lives of patients everywhere. This research grant is established to promote nursing research particularly in nephrology. Candidates must apply for the grants. The principal investigator/primary author must be a full member of ANNA for a minimum of the last two years and be certified by the NNCC for the duration of the research/project. Priority in awarding this grant will be given to applications in which the principal investigator is a graduate student with this research as a part of the requirements for graduation with master's or Doctoral degree. Priority will be given to graduate students, however, if funds are available, the award may be granted to ANNA members who currently have a Master's degree. Candidates must be actively involved in nephrology nursing related health care services or education. The project may be a new endeavor or one already in progress.
