Barbara Shay Memorial Nursing Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist.

Description

The Barbara Shay Memorial Nursing Scholarship will be awarded for undergraduate study. Students must attend or have attended Kofa High School, Yuma or Cibola High School, Yuma. They must attend college or university at Arizona Western College or NAU-Yuma Campus. This scholarship requires at least one recommendation. This reference should come from an individual who will write a strong letter of recommendation on the applicant's behalf. Ideally, this would be a mentor in the nursing field, as this scholarship is for students intent on careers as Registered Nurses. Applicants must also complete the additional essay.
