Description

The Barry Masters Annual Scholarship will be awarded to students who must have been Bay County or Walton County residents and US Citizens for at least one year. Applicants must have competed on their High School Golf Team. They must be a high school senior in good standing enrolled in a Florida high school or a home education program. Recipients will be selected based on their academic record; character and sportsmanship; SAT or ACT scores; involvement in golf, high school and junior golf tours and programs; financial need; essay; letters of recommendation; and community activities or volunteer involvement. Applicants must list two people not related to them who may be contacted to provide two letters of recommendations. The scholarship is renewable and available for all four years of the student's undergraduate studies. For renewal, every FSGA Scholar must submit a request each year to have their scholarship extended to the next year. The request must include their current transcript and a brief letter or email summarizing the points listed on the scholarship's website.
