The BeautySchoolsDirectory.com team is proud to offer a scholarship for students and professionals changing others' lives through wellness and beauty. To be selected, students must be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in any of the following accredited or state-approved programs: Cosmetology; Esthetics; Massage Therapy; Barbering Electrology, Laser Hair Removal, or Trichology; Hair Design or Hair Braiding; Makeup Artistry or Permanent Makeup; Nail Technology; Salon Management or Cosmetology Teaching; or other relevant beauty industry program, at the selection committee's discretion. Applicants must be US residents, including DACA recipients and international students. Students of all ages may apply, applicants under 18 require parental consent. Applicants must submit the link to a 3-minute maximum video responding to one of the prompts: (1) What field or specialty are you interested in and why? Were there other programs you considered? What specific career goals led to you deciding on your chosen field or specialty? What inspires you to pursue this path? (2) What are your career goals? Where do you want to be one year after completing your program? Where do you want to be 10 years after completing your program? What do you think the biggest obstacles are for achieving your goals? How do you plan to overcome them? (3) How will you use your career to benefit your community? How do you plan on changing others' lives through your career? (4) How would you advise a friend to choose the best beauty school for them? How did you choose your school and what have you learned from your experience that you would pass along to a friend? (For those already enrolled) (5) Show us a day in your life at school. What are you learning? What are your classes like? Are you a part-time or full-time student? What's your favorite thing about school? Provide a thorough picture of what school is like for you and some of your experiences (for those already enrolled).
