Description

Each year, the Jewish War Veterans of the USA Foundation offers Youth Achievement Scholarships, which includes the Bernard Rotberg Memorial Award. Applicants must be a direct descendant (child, grandchild, great-grandchild) of a member in good standing since 2023 of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America. If an applicant's relative is deceased, the member must have been in good standing at the time of their death. All members (including posthumous) must have joined prior to 2024. Applicants who are descendants of honorary members and Patrons are not eligible. Applicants must be a high school senior at the time of application and be accepted by an accredited college, university, community college, trade school or school of nursing as a member of the freshman class entering in the fall of 2026. The Application Form must be signed by the JWV member related to the applicant. If the member is deceased, applicants must inform the member's Department Commander. Applicants must not send applications to the JWV National Headquarters. Applications must be submitted to the Department Commander. To obtain the correct mailing address or contact information for the Department Commander, applicants must email JWV.
