Betty Dickson Health Policy Award, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $2000 each.

Description

The Betty Dickson Health Policy Award will be awarded to RNs to help them attend a national health policy meeting/conference. MNF will reimburse, after all receipts have been received, expenses for airline accommodations, if needed, hotel accommodations, conference cost, food, and gratuity. The recipient is expected to make a related presentation at a designated MNA conference within the year following the award. Applicants must have a full, unrestricted license to practice as a RN in Mississippi. They must be a member of MNA. Applicants must also demonstrate recent, active involvement in a professional nursing organization at the local, state, or national level. Recipients are selected based on expressed and demonstrated commitment to health policy, leadership, professional involvement, and long term career related to health policy.
