BMSS/RASS Andersen-Clewell Trainee Award, with an application deadline in December, offers numerous awards of $1500 each.

Description

The BMSS/RASS Andersen-Clewell Trainee Award is open to any graduate student or postdoctoral scholar whose abstract has been accepted by SOT for a presentation at the upcoming Annual Meeting and who is a member of SOT. This award is made possible by the Andersen-Clewell Award Fund of the SOT Endowment. This award is given jointly by the Risk Assessment Specialty Section (RASS) and the Biological Modeling Specialty Section (BMSS). The award recipient will be selected based on the scientific quality of the abstract, the scientific quality and significance of the research project overall, the significance of the findings, and a demonstration of excellence in health risk assessment. Applicants must submit a copy of the research abstract submitted to SOT relating to the application of biological modeling to risk assessment; a brief synopsis of the project indicating the relevance of applying the biological modeling to risk assessment; and a letter of support from the applicant's major advisor. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society of Toxicology for more information.
