Description

Bob Christopher was the first person to plant a vineyard in Lake Chelan. He had a passion for wine making and the tourism industry in Lake Chelan. Bob served several terms on the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, including serving as the President of the Board twice. Bob had an infectious personality and smile. He was an incredibly hard worker, he loved Lake Chelan and truly enjoyed making wine. This scholarship is intended for students wishing to pursue a career in viticulture, wine or hospitality marketing or communications. Applicants must be graduating senior or previous graduate of Manson or Chelan High School; must be interested in pursuing a career in viticulture or wine productions, or communications or marketing in viticulture or wine production. Preference will be given to applicants with a 3.5GPA or above preferred. Applicants must also be active in community extra-curricular activities such as sports, clubs, school leadership, and/or volunteerism.
