C.J. Davidson College Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers one award in the amount of $13500. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

Texas FCCLA awards the C.J. Davidson College Scholarship to outstanding members in Texas majoring in Family and Consumer Science Education in a college or university. The applicant must be a citizen of the United States and/or be born in the United States and a resident of the State of Texas. If the place of birth of the applicant as indicated on the application and/or transcript is other than the United States, appropriate proof of citizenship must be provided. The applicant must be a Texas high school graduate and in good academic standing at an accredited college or university. The applicant must have taken either the SAT or ACT college entrance examination and provide proof. Proof of the score may be a part of the official transcript or a copy of the official test results should be attached to the application. The information should reflect the date the test was taken. The applicant must be a former member, in good standing, of an affiliated chapter of the Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America for at least one year and be eligible to compete for an FCCLA college scholarship to be used beginning with the fall semester of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. Each applicant must submit three letters of recommendation from persons who are non-family members, two of whom should be former or current instructors. The scholarship may be awarded for up to six semesters if the recipient continues to be qualified under the governing rules of the scholarship.
