Description

Carl V. Gisolfi, PhD, FACSM, one of the most influential leaders of ACSM in its history, served as ACSM President and received the ACSM Honor Award. With Gatorade, ACSM created the Gisolfi Memorial Fund to honor his many contributions to the college and to the exercise science field. This grant will support research focused on exercise, in conjunction with either thermoregulation, hydration, or a combination of the two. Applicants must be an ACSM national member in good standing before applying for funding. This includes international applicants. ACSM chapter membership alone does not fulfill this requirement. Previous ACSM Foundation grantees must submit final grant and expenditure reports prior to receiving another grant award. Applicants must submit a Student Advisor Letter of Support.
