Description

The Celeste Hayo Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in honor of Celeste Hayo, a graduate of King Kekaulike High School who lost her life in a moped accident in Bali. The Hawai'i Community Foundation will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. The donor also requires applicants to be a graduate of King Kekaulike High School and attend an accredited college or university. High preference will be given to a high school or former high school athlete. High preference will also be given to a student pursuing a career in the medical field, with a preference for a nursing major.
