Charles R. Morris Student Research Award, with an application deadline in June, offers numerous awards of $1000 each.

Description

The Charles R. Morris Student Research Award is designed to encourage new investigators, not yet professionally established, to participate in research to further knowledge in oral and maxillofacial radiology, to develop competency in research and to gain insight into scientific investigation. The objective is to stimulate the scientific development of promising students and to encourage them to embark on a career in academic oral and maxillofacial radiology. The award will be open to candidates from accredited dental and dental hygiene programs who, at the time the research was carried out, were full-time pre-doctoral or undergraduate students. The full application must be accompanied by a nomination from the institution in which the research was carried out. Applicants must also submit a manuscript or original research (preclinical, clinical, or transitional). The manuscript shall follow the current guidelines of the OOOO journal for Original Research Article and shall be organized into: (1) Title Page; (2) Abstract; (3) Introduction; (4) Materials and Methods; (5) Results; (6) Discussion; (7) References. Figures and tables may be embedded within the manuscript. Applicants should be members of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology or should have applied for membership at the time of application.
