Chuck Freeland Memorial Scholarship for Flight Training, with an application deadline in April, offers one award in the amount of $3500.

Description

The Chuck Freeland Memorial Scholarship for Flight Training, named in memory of Chuck Freeland, former AEA board member and secretary, is available to employees of AEA member companies who plan to pursue a recreational or private pilot certificate. Applicants must be employed by an AEA Member for no less than one year. The award money is to be used for achieving a Private Pilot Certificate. The award money is not intended for use in achieving any other rating or certificate. The award money is to be used for flight training costs only. The award recipient must plan to pursue a Private Pilot Certificate within six months of receiving scholarship. The award money will be sent to the applicant's employer for disbursement. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation as completed by their employer.
