Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Cadet Flight Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers 6 awards of $1000 each.

Description

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Cadet Flight Scholarship will be awarded to be used for ground school, flight training at a local FBO (FAA part 61 or 141), training on CAP aircraft with a CAP instructor, or at a CAP flight academy. Preference will be given to cadets who have earned their solo badge or have graduated from an aerospace related special activity. Flight Scholarship applicants must have a Third Class Medical Certificate and valid student pilot certificate. However, applicants are not required to have these at the time that they apply. If selected, they will have to send a copy of both certificates in order to claim their scholarship. Applicants must also be a current cadet. They must submit at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation written by someone who is familiar with the cadets' accomplishments in CAP. Applicants must also submit a resume detailing any academic, community or CAP activities not addressed on previous tabs of the application.
