CSLA Presidents' Award, with an application deadline in October, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

The CSLA Presidents' Award honors a credentialed teacher librarian who, through the library program, directly affects students and teachers. Nominees must be CSLA members who work at the site level. Nominations may be made by library peers, administrators, teachers, or by the nominee himself or herself. A minimum of two letters of recommendation are required. The letters must describe the nominee's activities that reflect the roles of collaborative teacher, information specialist, instructional partner, and program administrator. Accepted letters of recommendations may be written by current site principal or administrators, classroom teacher(s), or student(s).
