CSS Environmental Carcinogenesis Merit Award for Graduate Students, with an application deadline in January, offers one award in the amount of $750.

Description

The Carcinogenesis Specialty Section (CSS) invites graduate students to submit their abstracts for competition for the Environmental Carcinogenesis Merit Award. One graduate student will be selected and will receive $750 and a plaque. Applicants must be a graduate student. Their research must be related to the field of environmental carcinogenesis. The research must integrate emerging sciences such as genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, metabolomics, microbiomics, exposomics, etc. into studies that help define mechanisms of, susceptibility to, and/or prevention of carcinogenesis. Applicants do not need to be CSS members to be eligible for this award. Applicants must submit a copy of the SOT research abstract, a copy of the student's current CV, and a letter of recommendation from the student's major advisor.
