Eligibility

CTSS Elsevier Postdoctoral Award and CTSS Student Award, with an application deadline in December, offers 2 awards of $1000 each.

Description

The Computational Toxicology Special Section (CTSS) is pleased to announce two awards available, one for a current graduate student sponsored by CTSS and one for a postdoctoral scholar sponsored by Elsevier, for attending the SOT Annual Meeting. A graduate student and a postdoctoral scholar will be selected. Applicants conducting research in computational toxicology as defined by the CTSS website are encouraged. The applicant is not required to be a CTSS member but is highly encouraged. An abstract must have been submitted and accepted for the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting with the graduate student or postdoctoral fellow as the presenting author; the late-breaking abstract is acceptable. A letter must be received from the mentor outlining the fellow's role in the research. The awardee will be required to provide a seminar on their latest work at the CTSS meeting at the upcoming SOT. A student/postdoctoral scholar is not eligible for the same award if they have won it previously, but a former student awardee can apply for the postdoctoral award. Recipients of this award will not accept travel awards from any other Specialty Section for the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting. A copy of the accepted abstract and a recommendation letter from the PhD student/postdoctoral fellow's mentor or a CTSS member must be submitted. Please visit the award's website for more information.
