Debbie Newell Award, with an application deadline in June, offers one award that varies in amount.

Description

The Debbie Newell Award will be awarded to a student attending Union University unless no Union University student qualifies. Students must be an accounting major and have completed Intermediate I at a 4-year college with a B or higher or a graduate student enrolled in an MBA or MAcc program with an undergraduate major in accounting or equivalent. Students can only receive the award twice unless no other Union student qualifies in year three. Students must have a 3.25 overall GPA and, separately, in accounting courses. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation, one must be from an accounting professor from the university the applicant is attending.
