Dorothy Thompson/Tampa Bay Aviation Scholarship, with an application deadline in October, offers one award in the amount of $1500.

Description

Tampa Bay Aviation offers one scholarship to a WAI member pursuing a fixed-wing or rotorcraft, private or commercial pilot certificate, or instrument rating. The scholarship will be in the form of a credit on their account at Tampa Bay Aviation. Funds will not be disbursed directly to the recipient. The recipient will be responsible for all written and oral examination fees, as well as any other fees which do not consist of aircraft rental or instruction at Tampa Bay Aviation. The scholarship must be used in pursuit of a certificate or rating and cannot simply be used for aircraft rental. All applicants must be current WAI members with an expiration date of March 30, 2026 or later. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation. Letters should not be from family members.
