Dr. Susie Beris Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $1000 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Dr. Susie Beris Scholarship will be awarded to a student or students graduating from Pomperaug High School or Nonnewaug High School, whose family has been impacted by cancer. Preference will be given to an applicant who is a cancer survivor. Application is available to graduating high school seniors only. First-time applicants must have a FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $40,000. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, clergy member, guidance counselor, or other community member who they think can best speak to their character, achievements, and potential.
