Description

The Spicer Student Travel Award honors Edward H. and Rosamond B. Spicer's lifelong dedication to supporting students in the social sciences. The Spicers valued the role of community in addressing and solving human challenges and were committed to both intellectual and practical student development. Applicants must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year; and must have an accepted paper abstract for the Society for Applied Anthropology Annual Meeting program (poster presentations are not eligible). The accepted paper should be based on some concern for "community," broadly conceived. Please visit the award's website or contact the Society for Applied Anthropology for more information.
