Description

The Elmer and Doris Schmitz Sr Scholarship honors the mother and father of Executive Vice President Emeritus T. J. Schmitz. Elmer Schmitz, Sr., was initiated as an Honorary Teke at Iota-Omicron Chapter at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 1963. The scholarship was established by their family and friends. This scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement and recognizes outstanding leadership within the chapter, having served as a chapter officer. Preference will first be given to a member from the state of Wisconsin, but if there is no qualified applicant, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke. All of the TKE Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active collegiate members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, as of March 15, as defined by The Black Book Article VI Section 2 unless otherwise specified.
