Description

F. Koehnen, Ltd. was established by F. W. Koehnen in 1929. The descendants of this family-owned business established the F. Koehnen Ltd. Scholarship Fund to honor the founder and as a way to contribute to the development of the next generation of leadership for the island of Hawai'i. Its purpose is to help support the educational efforts of families who work in retail business. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. The donor requires applicants to be a graduate of a high school on the island of Hawai'i. Applicants must be a son, daughter or grandchild of an employee of a retail establishment on the island of Hawai'i. Applicants must enter the employee's name, relationship to them and name of retail establishment in the spaces provided on the application.
