Description

The Fendler Family Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships to students who plan to continue their education at Rockhurst University. Applicants must be a resident of the Kansas City metropolitan area, residing in a household which has a total annual income of 80 percent or less than the median income of Kansas City households as determined by U.S. HUD and adjusted for household size. Applicants must have been accepted into and enrolled in Rockhurst University. Entering college freshmen are required to reside on campus. Applicants must plan to perform at least 10 hours of community service per year at Rockhurst University, as documented by the Rockhurst University Office of Service Learning. Strong preference may be given to entering college sophomores that will reside on campus. Preference may be given to students demonstrating financial need. Consideration may also be given to the applicant's involvement in extracurricular activities in school or in the community.
