Florence Turner Karlin Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers 6 awards of $2000 each.

Description

The Florence Turner Karlin Scholarship is available to a former graduate of any high school in Nebraska pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in education at a qualified college or university. The applicant may use this scholarship only for college credit courses. The scholarship cannot be used for workshops, seminars or similar types of training opportunities. Recipients may renew this scholarship for a period of up to 2 years. Applicants must submit two references' email addresses. References must be teachers, counselors, case workers, clergy, employers, neighbors, etc. References from family members are not acceptable. Graduate students must submit at least 1 reference from an instructor or supervisor. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Lincoln Community Foundation for more information.
