Frank Thomas Groff Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers one award in the amount of $1000. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Frank Thomas Groff Scholarship is available to members of the Roman Catholic Church who are graduating seniors of a high school in Dutchess County. The scholarship shall be applied to tuition costs of completing an Associate or Baccalaureate degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. This scholarship is awarded in an odd-numbered academic year. Applicants must be involved in extra-curricular activities or paid employment. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required. One recommendation must be from the applicant's parish priest. These letters must have been written within the last six months.
