Description

The Garden Club of America Summer Scholarship in Field Botany will be awarded to support students' field studies and offer an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience beyond the regular course of study. Eligibility is open to undergraduate and master's degree students. Research must be conducted in the Western Hemisphere. Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are currently and actively enrolled in a U.S.-based institution. Two letters of recommendation are required to be eligible for a GCA scholarship. One must be from the applicant's advisor on their academic progress and achievements, personal qualities, and qualifications for the summer program or project the applicant has developed or selected. The second letter should be from a professor familiar with the applicant's work and interests including information on the program or project the applicant has developed or selected.
