Description

Gerald Bergquist was a long time resident of Cowlitz County. He graduated from Kelso High School in 1947 and worked for many years as an installer for Bell Telephone. He was involved in many local sports teams as a player, coach and referee. He established scholarships for local students who are musicians. This Gerald Bergquist Scholarship for R. A. Long High School is available to graduating seniors from R.A. Long High School who have participated in the high school music program and plan to pursue a degree in music.
