Gertrude L. Briggs, CPA Memorial Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards of $5000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Gertrude L. Briggs, CPA Memorial Scholarship is funded by the proceeds from the MassCPAs Women's Golf Outing and demonstrates the profession's commitment to supporting leaders through the accounting pipeline. Applicants must be a graduate student, or an undergraduate student who has completed at least the first semester of her sophomore year. They must have the intention to pursue an accounting career in Massachusetts. Applicants for the MassCPAs Scholarship Program must attend a college or university in Massachusetts or attend a college or university out-of-state with a permanent address in Massachusetts and be enrolled in at least 9 credits during the Summer 2026 semester or Fall 2026 semester. A recommendation from an accounting professor, academic advisor, job supervisor, or mentor is required. Applicants must also submit a written essay or a video in which they describe what has shaped their decision to pursue a career in accounting.
