Description

The Harry Reed Jakes and Blanche Evans Jakes Endowed Scholarship Fund is open to students enrolled in the Honors College. First preference will be given to students who may study the classics and/or archaeology in a Baylor Study abroad program with preference to the Baylor in Italy Program. Second preference shall be given to incoming students who have a strong interest in majoring in or concentrating in Latin, Greek, or the Classics, to include students who are University Scholar majors. Selection for this scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit and need. The Honors College requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 to be eligible to apply and compete. Need-based awards are determined using information from your FAFSA and CSS Profile. For graduate students, only the FAFSA is used to assess need, while international students' need is evaluated through the CSS Profile. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
