Eligibility

Harry S. Truman Library Institute Scholar's Award, with an application deadline in December, offers numerous awards of $30000 each.

Description

The Harry S. Truman Library Institute Scholar's Award will be given to post-doctoral scholars engaged in work on some aspect of the life and career of Harry S. Truman or of the public and foreign policy issues that were prominent during the Truman years. The awarding of the Scholar's Award is contingent upon the receipt of underwriting support and strong proposals from applicants. An applicant's work should be based in part on extensive research at the Truman Library and be intended to result in the publication of a book-length manuscript. An individual may receive a Scholar's Award only once. Two letters of reference from persons familiar with the applicant's scholarly work are required. Application packets may be mailed, e-mailed, or faxed. Please visit the award's website for more information.
